Dear Friends and Fans,

It's almost time! In just a few days, on May 4th, my debut album "All is Fair" will be released. Before that happens, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered the album, plans to buy the album, has shared my music with their friends and family, and has supported me in this endeavor. I guess missing my flight yesterday morning was a blessing in disguise--I got to catch up on Hulu and write this blog!

Got into Atlanta on Easter Sunday and visited the World of Coca Cola with my buddy Jesse. Saw the original American Idol couch haha. If y'all have ever been there, you know you can taste different Coke brands from across the world. Pretty cool. One of them, Bibo from South Africa, was the sweetest thing I've ever tasted. Sort of gave me a sugar rush.

I'm so happy to be back in Chapel Hill for a few days. Walked around campus a bit yesterday and took this picture. It was 80 degrees, the students were out, and I got to visit one of my favorite spots on campus. I appreciate natural beauty a lot, and something about being in my hometown makes me appreciate natural beauty and gives me a sense of nostalgia. You have all been so amazing this week. Promoting the single has been a blast, but seeing your response to "My Name" has been even more fun for me. The work that everyone is putting in to get it on the radio, on TV shows, etc. is incredible. Your dedication to spreading the word is what this independent approach is all about. Had some technical problems with iTunes earlier today, but "My Name" is now available there as well! The best package and pre-order deals are still on anoopdesai.com, but if you want to gift the single, get it from your iPhone, etc, you now can on iTunes! So happy and thankful. Spread the word! I can't believe it...my first single "My Name" is almost here. I'm sitting in Philly right now listening to the full CD with two of my best friends, Chris Melly and David Mikush. It's been a long road, but it's been worth it. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, but I'm definitely excited! Tomorrow, I hope all of you will support me as I try to live out my dreams.
