Before the days of Scotty McCreery, Chapel Hill’s Anoop Desai competed on “American Idol.”Anoop competed on Season 8, notable for being Paula Abdul’s last season as a judge on the show and the season that launched the career of Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and others. While he didn’t win the show, Anoop did agree to do a lot of fun stuff at WRAL with us.
